Login page in website

I wanna make a website , so people can only look my website when they have a password. How it is possible?
The home page is looking everybody en on the home page they can ask me for a login name and password, and the people have a login and password then they can look all the other pages of the website.
Is this possible?

Yes, that's possible.
Set the users in step4 data management that have acces..
lock the pages you want to be only visible for acces with password and login in step2
(button on top) press that button to give a group or user you have created in step4 management acces, acces to the current page.
make a email form or a link on your home page to send you request for login.
make a login (and a logout if you wish) with the object in step 3 html and widget (use the pulldown menu)
Check if you not sure the F1 button it will give you a lot of help on the functions you are in.

I have try this but iit is not possible for me, what do i wrong?
I step 4 and I create a loginname and password, but I can also open teh website without loginname and password.

Please could you post a link to one of your 'protected/locked' pages online?
You can upload a temporary test page with random data in it if you are concerned about security.

Silvester, Have you acced the website with login and password once? Then you can keep on accassing it until you log off, even if you switch your computer off you will be able to login without the acces code if you have not logged off. But other users that have no acces will not be able to acces, try as a test another computer, you will see you have to acces again from another computer. (until correct password and login)
So create a login and a logoff. use the logoff then you will not be able to login without password.
