How to unzip and rekompress the project file?  en

I'm still looking for a way to efficiently edit the project outside the program and get it back into it. So I have to know some details:

1) Is the project.iwpry in the documents/incomedia/Website X5 v11/projectname/ folder the one and only project file that contains everything?

2) if I unzip it, I get one XML file which I can edit. That's nice so far! 8:o)=

3) If I recompress the file to project.iwpry and try to open it, I get a message somewhat like that a magical number is wrong and it's no valid gzip file. I downloaded and used gzip (Power Archiver 2001 GUI) and tried to use it, but still it's the same message.

Would you or your programmers give me some advice or a tool to unpack and pack the project-file without any loss. That would save a lot of time, please?

Yes Sir, it's usefull to create copies (backups) so you can roll back the process, once it goes wrong.

... but no Sir, the problem is, that the program doesn't accept the re-compressed and renamed project.iwpry-file in the end. Did you ever try to unzip and re-zip the project file?

The error-dialog (German) is seen on the pic attached.

You do not understand difference between zip and gzip.

You are really the "computer training" and "expert programmer"?

Use http://www.7-zip.org/ and all will be fine.

I did use 7-zip and it didn't.

Sorry Sir, it seems 7zip is better than gzip itself is for gzip. I oversaw the gzip option in 7zip.

but no Sir, I'm not about to discuss with you what I am. You wouldn't understand.

I bet you don't know the difference between the 2, right?
