Touch navigation for photo galleries  en

With touch navigation becoming more prevelant, I'm looking to see if there is any way to navigate any of the various photo galleries using a "swipe" instead of having to touch the navigation control.  Many sites allow both.  Any way to do this with X5 V11?

Hello Dave,

If you open a website made with WebSite X5 Version 11 with a mobile device it is already possible to scroll the photos with the swipe.

Many thanks!

I'm sorry I should have qualified this, not having tested every mobile device.  On an Android device, it does indeed scroll with a swipe.  However, with Windows 10 using Edge browser or IE11 on a touch screen tablet it does not scroll -- that is what I initially tested it on.  I don't believe it worked on Windows 8 tablet either.  I presume it may work on an iPad, though haven't tested that yet.

Hello Dave,

Did it appear a symbol under the gallery on the touch screen tablet?

It can depend on the settings of the browser. Try to see if also on another browser you experience the same issue on the same device.

Many thanks!

Testing Chrome on Win10, it works properly, the arrows in the scrollable photo gallery are replaced by a 4-arrow navigation icon symbol and swipe works.

Testing with Edge or IE11, it does not work properly.   The graphic images are displayed properly, but there is no scroll symbol, you have to touch the arrow to get it to scroll.

Hello Dave,

In this case it seems the touch functionality seems not to be enabled in Edge or IE11. Search in the settings of Edge and IE to see if this can be enables since it the browser is not enabling the touch you need to scroll them like on a desktop.

Many thanks!
