Smartpone friendly google  en

Some time ago I received an email from Google on my site-emailadress.

It said that the ''websitex5'' that I've made isn't smartphone friendly. The email also contained some suggestions to improve the situation.

Many of these things can't be done. (In my opinion... I hope I'm wrong...)  WebsiteX5-sites have many things fixed. (Viewport etc.)

Fixed ''height'' and ''width'' in many situations. Easy to build .... difficult to adapt to a smartphone.

Websites that can be fully shown on a smartphone have flexible menus and everythings adaps to new "widths". Menus can disappear and pop up.

What are Incomedia's intentions on that matter for the future...?

Another websitebuilder, WordPress, has made an app that can improve a website to make it flexible.

Best regards,

Jacques Verheijen

Incomedia is working on it that is about the only information available.

There are some topics to still get a mobile friendly site. It is possible by using a smaller size and adjusting buttons or use a mobile template.

I've installed version 12. I made spotpen.nl responsive. I had to use some css to change formats and font sizes for the different screens.

Question: In version 12 there is no possibility to make a sliding, moving side-menu.

(At least I could not find it.)Is there any reason to remove this feature?

As I have longpages it was very ''handy'' to get back to the entrance of the site.

The menu was always in sight. I hope it returns ................

Remark: The sidemenu on the smartphone doesn't always show the whole text. It is sometimes for a part invisible. (It keeps  words togethet where they should brake if there are spaces and - )

          Best regards,

If you go to step 1 template style, main menu, choose menu, then select always visible.

Do the same for the responsive template style.

This way your menu's should always be visible.

The menu long tekst issue is here already posted:

In the sjablonsetting ''always visible'' (vaste achtergrond) is filled out and made diffuse.(light grey)

It's blocked.

I can't change anything. De setting is fixed and does'nt work. I can't tick it off or on....

Do I look at the right spot..? See the screenshot... In the responsive sjablon I can tick it off and on. But .....?

Best regards ,

Hello Jacques,

You're almost there but not quite.

Your screenshot shows that you are looking at the settings for 'Pagina-achtergrond' (Page background?)

You need to select 'Menu' from the 'Page Section' (Paginasectie) drop-down, and then you will be able to tick the 'Keep always visible' checkbox.

Please see the screenshot attached.

Kind regards,

Paul
