IPad/Samsung/Andriod Audio Problems  en

Both my iPad and Samsung Tablets will not play audio X5-11. Is this going to be a future problem as both tables have been updated?

I found something about using an API.

The website is www.dagmar.net

Hello John,

The audio files on your 'Music' page are in MP3 format.

They should be in MP4 format to ensure maximum compatibility with end user devices, and to avoid problems such as you have experienced.

You need to convert your audio files to MP4 as per the instructions:

http://help.websitex5.com/en/v11/evo/index.html?ogg_video.htm

https://helpcenter.websitex5.com/post/53536

Once you have uploaded the files in the correct format then playback will be successful on tablets, etc.

You can use any software media converter of your choice to convert your files.  I personally use this one:

http://www.aiseesoft.com/

Note that this issue is not in any way connected to WebSite X5...  rather it is as a result of the lack of Flash support on mobile devices.

Kind regards,

Paul

Hello Paul,

I understand what you are saying and have actually comverted a song to MOV and on to MP4, works with iPad and Samsung. My only problem is the size of the player/control required for this format.

You will see the control at www.dagmar.net under Music and it fits perfectly. However with the MP4 format the player is huge. I have tried to reduce the size to where the controler id just visible but it stops playing if I make it exact.

The MP4 player actually has a portion of the screen for video. I'm looking for a work-around.

Thank you for such a speedy reply...jjb
