Hi, Just installed Evolution 12 and have tried ouut the new responsive feature, which works well. However I notice that my website title disappears when I move into any other mode than desktop.
Is there any way of correcting this?
My website is not live and I am viewing the website in the viewer.

Thanks

Hello Dave,

Was your website title in the header?

You can customise the display for mobile devices by going to Step 1 General Settings > Template Style > Responsive Template Structure

Kind regards,

Paul

Paul,

same problem here. I've checked but header / footer are the same for both responsive and not responsive and the content in responsive mode disappears.

I just want to clarify what you both mean when you refer to 'Website title'...

Are we talking about the entry made in Step 1 General Settings > General tab > Website title?

Or do you mean a text added to the header within WebSite X5 (Step 1 General Settings > Template Customization > Header tab), which has been converted to a header image by the software?

The second one, for me.

Thanks Marco, in that case this is normal behaviour due to the reduced viewport.  You can add a company logo (or any other image of your choice) in lieu of the title using the Responsive Template Structure.

Thanks Paul, but it's not that easy. Header and footer are not just company logos. Mine includes active elements such as html code, links and so on. They can't be replaced by a company logo.

A strange think is that in the footer instead of my copyright string appears a "Copyright 2015. All rights reserved." that I didn't write.

That is the default text for the responsive footer, which is added by WebSite X5.  But like I said you can edit the Responsive Template Structure and either change this text or delete it completely if you wish.

As regards active elements, I encourage you to add your comments and thoughts to Dario's thread:

OK, got it: structures are a little different. I will continue to play, but the fact that WS X5 "wipes" objects out isn't nice ... IMHO.

Same as Marco - footers & headers. I too will play around with it.
