Hi Michael van Dijk,

Please check if under C:\Users\ The Admin username \AppData\Local\Incomedia\ there is a folder called WebSite X5 v11 - Evolution and if the licence.iwl file is inside this folder.
If this folder exists and the file is there, copy the folder and paste it under c:\Users\ Your Windows username \AppData\Local\Incomedia and then start the program.

I hope this helps. Thanks for letting me know,

Noemi

Hi Noemi,

Nope, no folder. Is it possible it could have been deleted due to windows update? And if so how can i upload x5 e11 again?

Many thanks for your help. Hoping on a resolve.

Kind regards, Michael

Hi!

It may be that Windows is rejecting the writing permission for x5, you need to run the program with administrator rights, just right click the x5 icon and select properties, then select "compatibility", then select "run this program as an administrator".

Also you may need to go to the incomedia instalation folder to set the same configuration for "imRegister.exe".

Regards

Hello Michael van Dijk,

Uninstall the program and then download the installer you can find here on your proifle under the "Downloads" section. Once downloaded use the rightclick on this file and choose to run it as administrator. Once done when the program has been installed on the icon choose again the "run as administrator" option with the rightclick to check if then you still get asked to enter the licence key.

Many thanks!

Hello Michael,

("Nope, no folder. Is it possible it could have been deleted due to windows update? And if so how can i upload x5 e11 again?")

Open up win explorer and click on tools.

Then go to: "Folder Options" and "View"

Then turn on "Show hidden files, folders and drives".

Also do a search and or check back through the last 6 or so pages of posts. Many people having the same kind of problem including myself. (The file copy into the user profile that you're running the program under seems to fix many of the problems. But they do need to address this with better instructions or fix the program to run under a different user profile other than Admin.)

Cheers - Donald
