Javascript in body section of webpage  en

On the site http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex3/leaves.htm there is a simple procedure for having autumn leaves animation on a webpage.

I copied the script into a page using the Object html feature in the body section. The script uses 6 GIF files (different pictures of leaves). I do not know how to put these files into some directory from within X5. So I exported my website to disk and added the files manually in the root directory. When I open the browser with that page, the animation does not work: it shows all 6 GIF files on the web page, one on top of the other, and there is no animation. As if the script does not execute.

It would also be nice if I could plugin those GIF files from within X5 so I do not have to do that manually after export.

Any idea ?

Hi Karel

The procedure seems correct.

Although depending from the kind of code you got, you should be placing it in Step 4 -> Code -> Expert -> Before closing the head tag.

Also exporting the gifs on the webhosting is right and seemed to have worked.

Unfortunately, the staff won't provide support for the implementation of External code.

You might wait for seasoned users to stop by to help you out or search for information on the matter online.

Also, please link the URL of your website.

Have a nice day

Hi Stefano,

Looks like it has something to do with <!DOCTYPE html> statement . If I drop that statement from the file, it executes (more or less) correctly. So the fact that it is HTML5 prevents my script from executing correctly.

Mine works it's an old one from Frank, it works with only 1 file but it works without hasle and creates the same effect, maybe it's even adjustable to more files, I did not look at that.

It's not available on the site from Frank anymore, I will make it downloadable from my site.
