To upload my website. I just purchased a SSL cert and I need to know instead of using the FTP protocol should I use the FTPS over explicit- TLS/SSL instead? OR is that the servers problem? Thanks

If u need another type of upload, you can export the entire site to de HDD and upload the site with another FTP client. Ej. Filezilla

Hello George,

You may continue to use standard FTP if you wish...  it will still work correctly as before.

However, it's best practice to use secured connections where possible, so yes, switching to FTPS is strongly recommended.

Another option would be to use SFTP (SSH) which is also a secure protocol.

If for any reason you experience connection difficulties then check that the Port number specified in Step 5 of WebSite X5 matches that required by your server.  Your webhost can supply this information for you if necessary.

Kind regards,

Paul
