Menu new level folder won't stay hidden

I have carried out the procedure to have a menu button go straight to another webpage but every time the extra link button shows in the menu after clicking hide new level/folder
extra level button works though ?

I'm sorry but it is unclear what exactly is happening and what you're trying to achieve.
I would need to ask you to attach a couple screenshots to this topic in order for me to better understand what seems to be the issue, and so that I might help you in a better and faster way.

Thanks, I will attach a screen shot of what happens to the menu after I have created a newl evel & ticked the box to hide the drop menu for the new level
