Hi

When uploading a membership based website that was created through website x5, does one have to create the members area page ... where users can update ther profile and maybe have other feathers e.g. my purchases , my downloads etc ?

If so what would be the best method to go about doing this ?

I am assuming php , however I do not know php. my coding skills need some work. I had thought maybe a php backend script but then how would one implement it into the website and link to a database , which I assume is what would be needed ?

this has been bugging me for a while , so I would honestly welcome suggestions and/or advise

Kind Regards

Hello Justin,

You need to create the members area manually in the program by adding all content you want it it manually.

To allow them to update their profile you could use the dynamic content object so they can edit this field since there's no option to edit profile.

The ecommerce has no functionality to see the purchases made by the user and to havethis functionality it requires the use of custom code like as example PHP which reads the order you have set to be stored also in the database and then to show these.

Unfortunately I cannothelp you with custom code since the support is only for the functions in the program but you wait to see if someone of the community can help you.

Many thanks!
