If you use a non websafe font and you don't have it added in x5, then if a visitor that has that font not installed on his pc, wil get a standard font to view the side /page.

Fonts added in x5 will always show correct. (preferences at start up -> fonts tab)

Hope I understood your question correct, else let me know.

Thank you for your reply.

I can't find any fonts tab. I have never added any fonts to x5 but most seem to be available to choose from if I go to edit say the menu text. If I choose from there will they appear that way to others or do I have to add them manually somehow?

Hopefully that makes sense. Thank you for your time

I have never add it myself as well. I stick to standard website fonts cause this saves time and gives the best possible correct view at users end. But it's possible if you wish.

In the start up screen in x5 you get a preference option on the left, select this there you can find a TAB called web fonts.

You need to download these fonts prior to install, then link / add the downloaded file in the TAB web fonts.

Check the help section on how to proceed:

http://help.websitex5.com/en/v12/evo/google_fonts_ht.htm

Try to use only fonts you strictly need, cause these fonts need to be downloaded when viewing site so your site gets a tiny bit slower.
