Editing Footer

I recently noticed that you can't edit footer content after uploading your site to a server because its appearing as image file... The footer text/contents appeared as png under Style folder.. So in order to change something like copyright on the footer you need to download the imagine file and edit the "bottom.png"

I am not sure what your question is....
If you add content to the footer you can change it in x5. Do you have the option save as jpg on in the footer? Then content will be shown as picture on your site but still can be editted in x5.
Do you want to edit the text inside the picture that is contained in the footer, then yes you need to edit the picture (in the template).
So it also depend on your template and what the content is or where it is.....
Hope thiss helps, else please provide more info on where the content is or comes from.
