Professional 12 crashes on text object

I've been using Professional 12 for a few months now, but these last couple of days have been impossible as it keeps crashing on the text object. You can open the object but as soon as you press Ok, the program freezes and you have to kill it from Task Manager.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but his has not solved it.
Any ideas?

Does the same happens also in a new object?
