Problem white flash blink when switching pages on Firefox
Author: ANASTASIA M.Hello,
We have a problem when we test our website on Mozilla Firefox. Our webpage cant be uploaded yet, but we have to find a solution soon in order to continue use and develop our website on WebsiteX5.
The problem is that, every time we click any link to change page, the screen flashes white before the browser loads the page. This only happens on Mozilla Firefox.
This is very annoying and desturbing for anyone that uses Firefox. We are trying to achieve the optimum user experience, but with this problem we cant go on.
We have done some test. We went back to the early pages of our website. Before any content is added. Only 4 menu buttons, some colors and 2 images for header and footer. So it's a completely empty site but STILL the problem occurs.
The problem on empty websites tent to happen not on every click on menu. If you add more objects it happen very more frequent.
The problem is not on our webite. You can do you own test. Just create a new project, add one of WebsiteX5 templates. Export it and test it on Mozilla Firefox. The screen STILL flashes white on almost every click.
We have used a lot of time on trying to debug this huge problem. We need your help on this one. We have also read another post on 2012 " https://helpcenter.websitex5.com/post/33823 " which seem similar to ours. But we cant find a solution on this post.
We also tried to test some older website created with X5 (with older versions of Website X5). That old site with an older version of X5 seem to work fine.
So we think that the problem is an inner Website X5 problem that happen on some update in the past.
We are ready to participate on any debugging procude that you need to do on your code in order to have a good solution on this problem. We have a lot of certified programming experience and we know how weird are this kind of problems.
We are really in love with your application and have saved a lot of time in development with this unique magic tool you have created. But it's very annoying to see your monitor flash white on almost any click.
Have a nice weekend to all the X5 team.
PS: our version is Website X5 Evolution 12.0.5.22
I have created and maintain MANY websites - this is not an issue on my sites through Firefox.

It seem weird. I have tested 3 empty templates on two different computers and they all seem to flash very often between clicks. I also have 4 online examples (of other users) developed with Website X5 that seem to have the white flash very ofter between page changes. At least on our computers. I will try to test it again on a clean formatted computer with the latest version of Firefox to see if this still happens.

Esahc was pretty positive on being no issue on his websites. So we thought that installing a fresh FF might do the trick.
It partly fixed the problem. At least the empty templates and X5 websites from the gallery seem to work fine. But not our website. Seems like its a deeper issue of previous version of Firefox that cause this Flash of Unstyled Content (FOUC) on every page that Website X5 creates.
Our website will be tested the next days to find exactly what element is causing this problem and we will post it right here for everyone to see. If it's code we added I hope we will find out soon. If its an X5 element then we will ask for help here. So we will the post open till we will figure out the problem.
If anyone can give us a clew on that problem we would be very glad to hear.
Anastasia, can you load the website temporarily up onto your host in a temporary directory and advise the url so we can have a look?
Anastasia, you might also wish to ensure you have the latest version of adobe flash, and the latest java installed. Also, are there any issues with either chrome, ie or perhaps edge?
Perhaps when you have uploaded to a temporary address the problem may disappear?(perhaps being caused by a local website install looking for something on the web, google search in the header perhaps?)
PS I primarily use Firefox as well :-)

Hello again,
All other browsers work fine. Esach indeed there are times that java and flash needs to be updated.
Solution:
We fixed this by moving all the <css styles> we added to the Statistics,Seo and Code" > Expert from "After opening the HEAD tag" to "Before closing the HEAD tags". The <style> inside the <head> sould appear after the java scripts that Website X5 loads. Possible the css that caused the problem was "@-moz-keyframes..." or "-moz-animation..."
Thank you again for your patience and understanding.
