Help! X5 is have a fit. I exported an Animator gif file to a computer folder.

That seem to work well, I then uploaded the file to X5. It came up but then X5 had a fit and closed. Now when I try to open my project it tell me the the program didn't close down properly when I hit continue it tells me the project did not load properly and there is a problem with the XML file. WHAT DO I DO I can't lose my project which is published on the web I was just doing somne amendments to it.
PS Previously I had tried the X5 process but x5 would not read the ''WAP'' file.

I followed your information as best I could and tried to adapt a work around but it didn't work.
I think the main problem on the link you sent me is an old link for versions 8 & 9. In version 12 the screen is totally different. Could you check it out and let me know. For your info I have my own WD cloud which everything gets backed up to. I have a copy of the project and can't open it because it has the IWPRJ extension.

The procedure for version 12 is very similar like the one in the link. What you need to do is to open the preferences to see in which folder the projects are stored and then open this folder on your computer.
Once done search for the folder with the name of the project you experience the issue and open it.
then rename the file project.iwprj to old.iwprj and then open the backup folder and copy the most recent file with .iwprj extension and paste it in the folder where you previously found the project.iwprj file.
Once done rename this file to project.iwprj and then start the program and try to open the project again.
If this file should give the same error copy and rename another .iwprj file from the Backup folder in the main folder and try to open the project again.

Many thanks Claudio it worked and all is well. Although it does beg the question why? did the moving photo created in Animator when added to my X5 project corrupt the file.
One other tiny favor I downloaded a free process which let me change or alternate a word in a sentence and I can't seem to find it.

It would be necessary to see the gif file to make some tests to see why the project got corrupted.
What process are you referring? It is a script or a program?
