When I try to use the Text Object either new or to edit, it freezes the program.
I have have turned off and back on the .net Framework and also installed the Visual c++.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled to program and no luck.
It does this in my current projects and also if I try to create a new project. Other objects seem to work fine.
Please help, I must update for Mother's Day.

We have received your crash report, probably the problem is that you have too many fonts installed in your system.
can you tell methe numberof fontsyou haveinstalled on your system? You can see in the folder Fonts in Windows.
Then try to reduce the fonts installed.

Thanks I kind of figured that from some other posts I read. About a month ago I installed a large font collection and have been slowly weeding out unwanted fonts. At the time of my post, I had @ 1200 fonts still installed, but prior to that I had almost 8000 and X5 worked fine. The astest update seemed to trigger the problems. In fact, my Surface Tablet still has the 1200 fonts and works fine. I applied the same update to the tablet with no problems.
Anyways, I am now down to @ 700 fonts on my PC and it started working good for a couple changes, now it is freezing up again. Surface tablet is still working good with the 1200 fonts. This makes me think there could be another issue.
No matter what, I will delete some more fonts on the PC and try again. I've just been putting it off for some time now.
Let me know if you have any other suggestions.

Additional info, I now have less than 500 fonts installed and still get this message:
