Adding Cart link on pages

Working on a Shopping website and can't find a solution to adding a Link for the Shopping Cart that can be added to each page. As I can tell you can only purchase after buying however when you click on the prompt to Continue Shopping and return to the various pages if then you decide to Check Out how do you get to the Cart?

I attempted to Add the link on the footer however there's no html drop down for the footer. I did add a image with a link to the Shopping Cart,it works well. My situation now is on my iPad I made several purchases to see how it works. I made several purchases, went to the Cart and now pressed the basket with the X on it to remove an item from the Cart. Does not change the quantity.I also attempted to empty the Cart to no avail. Is there a solution?
