Firstly can I say that I find Website X5 to be an excellent program.

It has enabled me to design a fairly decent website  - incorporating features that I could not possibly have achieved without it.

However, it does have a few restrictions for my particular needs and, taking you up on your suggestion, I will open an 'Idea Post' in order to try and find a solution to my problem.  I will also add a number of other features that I hope may be implemented into Website X5 in future versions.

Talking of which - is there a date yet for Website X5 Evolution 13?

To be brief regarding my intial post.

It is great to be able to have the pop up still image advert appearing when the Home Page is accessed.

However, the website concerns Keedie and her new all girl group Bella Voci.

The girls are performing at a number of concerts and, rather than have a still image pop up on the Home Page to draw vistors attention to this, I am looking to add a small 10 to 20 second video advert promoting each concert.

I will create these short video adverts in Adobe After Effects and they will be rendered in the MP4  H264 format.

I know that I can actually add a video to the Home Page and link to it from You Tube but visitors would then have to actually click on the video to view it.

What I would like is for the video to automatically pop up and draw visitors attention to it when the Home Page is visited - in much the same way that the still image does.

Anyway, thank you for your kind offer of assistance regarding this enquiry and I will now have a look for some suitable code. In the meantime maybe one of the many other Website X5 users may have a solution and post it here.

Thanks for the info Jamie B but where can I see this script in action doing exactly what I want it to do. I need to be assured that the script you recommend can make a short You Tube MP4 video actually pop up quickly on the Home Page when it is accessed without having to be clicked on by the visitor - just like an image does - and also without taking forever to load?

Also, I have visited your link and, to be honest, the whole script thing seems a bit complicated for a newbie like me. I really want something like the feature in the Advanced section of Website X5 where all I had to do to have a pop up image appear when the Home page was accessed was to quickly add the link to the image.

I would just like to be able to easily, and quickly, add a link to a video that automatically pops up on the Home Page when it is accessed instead.

Maybe this could be a feature implemented into the next version of Website X5 - along with a few other features that I would also like to see.
