Google tracking code on every page  en

I have entered Google Search tracking ID and Verification metatag on Statistics & SEO page.
Google Analytics recommend a tracking link on every page (this is an online shop with different categories on each page).
Does Website X5 automatically add tracking data to all pages, or is there a way to do this?

Hello Lawrence,

WebSite X5 automatically adds the tracking code to each page of a project.

However, if you have many products on a single page then be aware that this will count as a single visit.

If you require more control over analytics then you could redesign your project to cater for a single product per page.

Kind regards,

Paul

Thank yo u.

There is aa range of products on each category Page. Do you mean that Google will only analyse the page description and keywords entered inthat page's properties?

Will it not crawl over the various products' names (in bold) for searches?

Are you confusing analytics with search indexing?  These are two separate things.

Google Analytics use the Tracking ID to count the number and frequency of visitors to your pages.

Google uses the page description and keywords to help build its search index, which displays search results for end users searching the web.

It's the search index I mean. Not getting much search results so far.

Wlll it look at the product names or only the page description?

Other question:  Thanks for checking on your mobile. My Blackberry still shows 404 for 'Continue shopping' despite doing 'Reload'. Will try & check others.
