How to create connecting pages

Hi,
I don't seem to be able to find a way to connect a series of pages. I am building a catalog and would like to break the enties into pages so that the number of items don't have to be endlessly scrolled through. I would like to put four or five items on a page and have page numbers and directional arrows at the bottom. How is this done?

This needs to be done manualy.
You need to create for every items you want on 1 page 1 page, and for the next items another page and so on.
You can then look up some arrows pictures on internet and set them in the page with a link to the next or previous page on that arrow picture.

Thank you for the information. If I do that the pages will show up in the menu as page one, page two, etc. Would I have to make hidden pages to avoid that?

if you name page1 "page1" in step 2 and page 2 -> "page2" then yes.
Just try and check the preview to see if it is to your liking. (start with 1 or 2 pages as test)
