Let me correct the above...

If I import the project file from v12, I receive an error :an error occurred while loading the project (a local file header is corrupt)

If I load the project file from the "project name" in the project menu (whch is within the files created by v12) THEN I run out of memory. I got to 98% the first attempt and then my RAM had gone down to 1mg and the programme ceased to work

Hello Nigel,

The project seems to have a large size, in this case you have to follow this steps in order to import it in version 13:

-Once you have the .iwzip file, rename it as .zip (if you do not see the filename extensions you have to enable them from the Windows control panel).

-Then extract the contents of the file into a folder, you can use a default program like 7zip or select "extract" from the Windows menu.

-Select the contents you have extracted in the folder and recreate the .zip storage (to do this you can use either the Windows default compressor or 7zip).

-Then  rename the file you have just created from .zip to .iwzip, so to import it into version 13 by clicking on the specific button "import" and by selecting the file.

Please keep me updated.

Hello Claudio.

The procedure above certainly does allow te import of the v12 project file.

However, once the project file that has been imported is selected, the process of  conversion creates massive depletion of RAM and the programme becomes frozen

How do I deal with this and/or have your programmers got a version update to solve the problem?

Thanks.

ps Claudio...just to let you know that I managed the "initialisation of files" by performing the action in Windows 10 SAFE mode with internet connection.

However...I would still like to resolve the problem so that I can perform the operation, if necessary, in normal PC mode.

Thanks.

Hello Nigel,

the first time it is opened it uses more ressources to convert all the objects and since your project is large this could be the reason.

Please try to perform once this action in safe mode and once it is done test the project under normal pc mode to see if then it works correctly.

Please keep me updated.

Yes...it's working properly in normal PC mode.

I like the speed at which the preview appears.

No big problem but it seems that the progress bar isn't showing when exporting the project.

Thanks

ps EXPORT is publishing ALL files instead of those since last Export. Tried it twice. Would you say that the first Export from a new version tends to do this? Memory dropped drastically whren the programme was preparing the Export but now in the actual publishing process I seem to have a good13 Gb

Thanks

Hello Nigel,

The first export needs to export all the files since all the files have been converted with the code of the new version.

Complete it once the export and then the next ones will export only the modified files.

Many thanks!
