Website x5 pro 13 stopped working error  en

Hello.

I purchased the early download and I have tried to install version 13 a couple of times now and always get the error "stopped working" before it is fully loaded. I am using Windows 10.

Any help would be appreciated thank you.

Hello John,

Please proceed to uninstall the Visual C++ libraries from your computer and then reinstall them by using following links:

2010 - https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5555
2012 - https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30679
2013 - https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40784
2015 - https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145

Proceed to reinstall the x86 and 64bit version of each library and then test it again.

I have Microsoft C++ libries for 2005 and 2008. Should they be uninstalled?

John, if you are not getting an error, perhaps you could go to control panel, administrative tools, event viewer, clear the logs and then run WX5.  Any subsequent errors in the logs may then assist Incomedia in identifying your problem?

Hi John, I had the same error and  Esahc put me on to the solution in the same way he describes above. A Lavasoft program was stopping my X5 v13 from starting properly. After I uninstalled it, everything has worked perfectly!
