Block spammers IP

Is there a way to block email address or IPS from the blog postings?
I get the same spammer posting daily. I do delete them since I have it set for me to approve before it is seen. Just wanted to block if possible

Hello Aulton,
Blocking should be done on the server, at source. This is not a WebSite X5 function.
Ask your webhost for advice on the most efficient way to combat the spammer, according to your specific server configuration.
Most common Apache installations make this process relatively easy.

I've had the same problem in my blog one periode. My solution was to enable captca filter for a while, and since then it havent been any problem.
Since then I've changed comentmetode and juse disqus on my mainblog, and there it is posible to blacklist visitors from coment in the blog.
