Casual backup

Some days ago I created a project as copy of another one. Periodically I saved the progress and published the site. Today WebSiteX5 13 opened the project in the state it has been yesterday morning. There is no trace of any backup file which contains the complete last day of work.
Is there any way to be sure that WebSiteX5 13 makes regular backups?

In Evolution an automatic backup is only made when you upload your site using the inbuilt FTP engine. If you want a backup at other times you will need to export the project or copy the project using Windows Explorer.
Even in PRO the backup is not automatic except for when uploading as in Evo.

Dear Esahc, thank you for your answer. Fortunately, I did regular uploads, so I was able to create a new WebsiteX5 project by copying the content from the published website. Following your words, by uploading the website should had been backuped, but it hadn't.
