Very Unhappy With Vr. 13 Professional Upgrade  en

In My Opinion I am not impressed at all with my V.13 professional upgrade from V. 12 Pro...

  • I have my site set as Responsive and on full page resolution I have none of my Vertical page menu buttons showing, Only a Hamburger symbol. V.12 has no problem with this and shows all my menu buttons correctly at different break points. When I set it to Desktop Site the buttons show up. This defeats me having a responsive site.
  • My Header is all messed up and does not show the correct content and repositions my content as it feels like. Also where did the effets options for the header go?

I will give this a shorttime to determine if this upgrade is a failure from the publisher. So far it is of my opinion this version has been so changed that all I feel is that they just moved everything around and made it so much more difficult to use. They said this new version was better with a better workflow etc. etc. Incomedia X5 has done their customers a disservice with this upgrade and they should examine what the heck is going on there.

If I can't get this resolved in a short time I will be Sadly asking for my money back.

For the record I have always supported this company and upgrading every version and have been very happy with it. But this Version 13 Professional upgrade is a total disaster.

I hope I am wrong and I will gladly eat my words of disgust if I can get the issues resolved quickly. For now I am extremely unhappy.

Thank you

Agree, version 11 worked much better than 13 :/.

I had to start creating website from scratch few times, because an error has appeared. When I was totally sure that all is going fine and I clicked save, I could only watch that my project is saving, and saving... like neverending story.

Really? How can I close my computer now? Never? Or I will lost my project again, because it will be saved with a bug!

I have to agree with the two people above. V13 is a great disappointment. I have several large sites built with V12 that when I tried to use V13, the headers were wrong, the page menus incorrect and backgrounds were changed. I regret spending tyhe money on V13 as I can only work these sites with V12. I am very disappointed in Incomedia. Up until now, they have always provided an excellent product.

Giulio, Agnieszka & Andrew

If you can spare the time I believe you will find the new features in V13 well worth the effort. Your menus are gone because in V13 they are too big for the space available. To fix mine I turned off responsive and adjusted button size, font size and menu size (template) to meet my requirements, then I turned responsive back on. For the header and footer you need to look at each resolution in Header and footer content. Hide objects that don't suit that resolution or move them around or add new objects more suitable to that resolution. You should also note that any text in your old header is now an image and the simplest thing to do is place a text box over that image, recreate your text then remove the image. I'm pretty sure that at desktop resolution your header is pretty close to the V12 version, the reduced resolution versions didn't even exist in V12.

Agnieszka, have you updated to V13.0.1.16, I thought the never ending save was dealt with by this update.

Andrew, every website I have imported to 13 has only had issues with the header and menus because of the new features and modified functionality, none of my backgrounds or page content was affected. Perhaps a new post addressing your background issues and some details are in order.

Gordon, Thank you for the very informative information you have provided regarding my issues with the X5 Vr. 13 professional upgrade. Your suggestion regarding the menu buttons not showing was resolved with your easy to understand instructions. The header issue still has me confused but you have opened my eyes a bit and I am able to start dealing with it. Although X5's claim that the workflow and ease of use is better is certainly questionable. What happened to the effects on the header that was so available right there in Vr. 12 Pro? I still don't get how they think working on the header is easier than before, I am not totally understanding all those icons you have to drop on the header to work with. With Vr. 12 pro I was able to import the photo or item and resize and position all the elements so much easier and with the effects right there to add a Glow or Mirror etc. was so much easier. So, at least for now, I am very grateful for your awesome input, as I was so disgusted with this upgrade I was ready to have X5 return my money. They should be grateful as I am that you are so good at what you do and so willing to share your knowledge . I am sure you may hear from me a few more times, I am very fortunate to have met you and thank you for your quick and complete response. All the Best to You. Giulio

I agree ... I am a user 10 years I think I bought all versions of applications fairly, and I realize that bugs are present in every application development. But why, you have canceled us testers a beta application that extensive testing before buying? I'm not satisfied at 13 especially because advertising 64 bit system that is even slower because it is not conditioned properly. Why use cefSharp.BrowserSubprocess on many levels ... The application example on Windows 7 works disastrous ... I'm sorry that I bought the license only because the application has not been refined for commercial use.

Hello X5 Croatia,

Thank you for your message, but I kindly ask you to open a post of your own where you can signal irregularities or observations about the new version, so not to create confusion here. I will be happy to answer your questions on that separate post. Thank you in advance.

Kind regards.

Vr. 13 Pro was supposed to be 64 bit and much faster, at least that is what the advertisment says So Why is it so much slower than my Vr. 12 Pro on the same computers. Someone needs to address the Slow 64 bit issue right away.

Why do I have to be a Beta Tester? This should have been tested well enough before before being released.

I am trying my best not to ask for a refund on my Vr. 13 Pro upgrade because of several other issues. Thank you.

Hello Giulio,

I am very sorry that you are experiencing this difficulty with the program. I also would like to thank you for the confidence you are according us. Our developers team is active in findings solutions for the issues that some users have faced when using the software. My suggestion is to open a new post where you explain your difficulty (if you have more than one I kindly reccomend you to open different posts for diffrent problems, so to ease the support) by giving as many details as possible. In this way, the assistance will be more rapid and efficient.

As far as the beta testing is concerned, the program has gone through a long phase of beta testing before the release, but unfortunately some problems only emerge after that the software is being extensively used with real projects. But as I said, every issue has been and is being analysed, so to find adequate solutions, as the satisfaction of our customers is our priority.

Kind regards.
