Alan,

You should create a database on the server of your provider, then you will get a webbadress (mostly localhost), a login and password and database name. You need to add that information in the database section in x5.

description: -> fill in yourself it's for your own recognition

host name -> databseadres

databease name -> name of database you set or got from your provider

the rest are username and password, also probably made by yourself at your host.

Then it should work

Thats the name you gave to the database in the database section, so you can identify several databases through out x5.

do you have a prtscrn ? what's the error?

check if the page is set to php ? (step 3 -> properties -> expert

chack also if  you have a php support in your webhosing ? (mandatory)

run the test in admin panel, see i=that you have no errors (yourwebsitename with /admin behind it) login and passwrd are in x5 (settings advanced -> acces management.

I worked this morning with my Server and found the problem at the Server end. However I do have one final question.

I added the Poll widget and tested by voting YES, the graph is showing 50% yes, 50% no. is there a reset so the poll is accurite? Starting from zero votes.

No not in x5, if your comfortable with databases you could edit the databse from your webhosting panel.

But it might be easyer to delete the databse and create a new one. This is not so much work....

Or even easyer, leave these 2 test settings....

So, I assume I bought a add on that isn't about being accurate it's about a visual Poll for fun. I wasted 13 credits!

Sorry to hear you are not happy,

But It's accurate, why should it not be? You set it did you not? And it's doing what it is suppossed to do, or not?

Is it accurate if you can reset it every time it does not suit you? You can manilulate always on internet in several ways.

Sorry but there are many ways of looking at it.... I use it and I am happy with it.

But if you don't like it, ask for a refund in a private post to Incomedia.

Then look up one on internet and insert it manually in x5 also an option, you will end up probably also with some issius then write one of your own or hire a programmer.... that way you are in full control.

Anyway many options.... hope you still like it.

I think you didn't understand what I wrote.

I said, I tested it by voting yes, 10 times, the graph showed, 60% voted No. I never pressed the No option.

Sorry, yes then I misunderstood, but  that's truly strange. But did you test in preview, this is just a local option, once online it should only accept 1 vote for every pc. after that you should only see the result. You should not be able to vote multiple times on 1 computer. unless there are strange settings on the pc. As i already stated it's always possible to influence these kind of data, the internet is a pritty open source related platform.
