hi there, I've been away from my pc for 3 months and now when I try to upload changes I wish to make to website, the upload is very slow and punctuated by the following error messages:

1. error in file report (refers to file in application data) you dont have permission  etc  (permission is ticked and access is granted on hitting re-try button???)

2. Unable to view files at present on server

3. error while enumerating remote files

sometime when I hit 're-try' the process continues only to stop a few files down the line

Care to advise please?

many thanks

RogerC

Hello Roger,

thank you for having contacted us. Unfortunately, after the release of the newest versions,  we do not offer direct technical support for the older versions anymore, as you can read here: https://helpcenter.websitex5.com/en/post/101940

Still, you can receive the support of our kind community and our competent moderators. I thank you in advance for your understanding.

Kind regards.

Well in x5 nothing has changed so the problem probably is somewhere else. Unless you have set items sinds the latest try that give problems.....

Just some tips to try:

Can you upload a new project to a different folder without problems?

yes? Does a larger previous project work?

Is there something changed in your account with your webhosting company? (is there enough space?)

Changes in firewall / operating system?

Anyway, it could be even more reasons, try to debug and filter more on where it goes wrong.

Goodluck.

Hi there Andre thanks for your suggestions. I have now three times been able to complete successfully, uploads with alterations to my website. Each time I continue to get error messages as mentioned in my first message. (often in excess of 20 -30 error messages per attempt).

The error messages appear at all stages of the upload when I am only uploading changed files?

Uploading to a different folder = same problem.

Not sure what your next suggestion means?

No changes with webhosting co.

Firewall same , only W10 changes are auto updates.

Not sure what you mean by de-bug and filter ,thus not able to try?

Perhaps you can help me further please?

Best wishes

RogerC

If you create a brand new project, can you upload to a different folder just for test, does this work?

and without firewall same problems? or better?

have you asked your webhost if there has been some changes or problems lately (it could be at your host end as well offcource)

Another option is to save website to harddrive and upload with an ftp program like filezilla.

try also to play with the options in x5 (set them on or off) and test.
