Google Verification  en

Hi guys

I have tried to verify my site on Google using a meta tag, but when I click on the verify button in Google it cannot find my site.  I'm sure that I input the code in the right place but when it did not work I also added it in the expert section.

Is there anything else I can try to get the meta tag to work?

I'm having to use Filezilla to upload to my host as I have another issue with Website X5 not uploading my files.  So to prevent me having to upload everything can you tell me which folder (or file) the Google meta tag is in so I only have to upload the one file or folder.

There are altenative verification methods, one of which is:

Follow the steps below to create a DNS (Domain Name System) record that proves to Google that you own the domain.

1. Add the TXT record below to the DNS configuration for lutondunstablepc.org.

google-site-verification=LkyUzzw3yzk-bCW0z66ieMwMQd4snEU98cil_iNOYFU

Can I do this in Website X5, if not how can I do this?

If verification is difficult for some reason I use the html file option.

download the complete html file from google and upload it to your website in the folder that google gives you without changing the file itself.

I did not use any of the posts here to solve the issue.  I now think it was more to do with the upload issue I was having.
