hi
what version of website x5 are you using, in v13 there is no need for a mobile version as it is now responsive.

thanks for commenting.
I have version 10
i was told that there was no need to create a seperate site (in the sales patter it states that the normal templates are compatible with iphones etc.) they however are not. Then the other day I noticed whilst browsing that X5 (although perhaps not on my version) had a help page that directed me to : ""How to create the desktop and mobile versions of a website" in my version of website X5 wherein it refers to Step 4 - Advanced Settings, open the Statistics, SEO and Codewindow and go to the Expert section."" But i cant find it in my help center!!!
Thanks
Dave

This is the second or third version of X5 I have purchased. I'm fed up with continually having to pay for updates which perhaps shouldn’t be necessary if I was sold a programme initially that did what it promised. I still dont have what I need after all this time. I have had problems from day one regarding the compatibility of the web-design with mobile devices. Plenty of promises in the sales patter and that’s as far as I get.
hi Dave
in v10 & v11 the websites auto fit the screen but are not mobile friendly or responsive, since 12 website x5 is responsive and v13 is definitely the better version then all the rest, you can view the templates from the website x5 marketplace or alternatively you can view templates from https://www.x5tuts.com we also have templates for the older versions of website x5 from v9 onwards

Hi JamieB thanks for your reply
you say you have older templates V9 onwards, excuse my ignorance but how would i use these, I dont understand.
There are mobile templates on my version but it looks like i would have to make 2 websites amd link them somehow even though the sales patter states that the normal templates are mobile compatible..
Thanks

Ps. here is copy of message sent ages ago:
""Hi Dave,
You don't have to do a thing, actually. Version 10 of Website X5 is very smart in this regard, and will create a compatible design for you automatically, which will look good and function well on desktops and mobile devices alike.
The only thing you need to pay close attention to is your file format for any multimedia files. Due to incompatibilities amongst the various tablets""
hi Dave
that is correct unfortunately you would have to create a mobile template, we have v11 templates that come with mobile templates and they pass the google mobile test, we have so many website x5 templates that I can't remember if we built mobile templates for v10 but I know for definite that we have mobile templates for v11 on https://www.x5tuts.com if you have any requests for any of our newer templates to be backwards compatible you can contact us via our website.
