Website X5 system requirements - you do not state if 64-bit is supported in VISTA or WINDOWS 7.

I am very cautious of using WEB BUILDING products, since I bought one recently that gave a BLUE SCREN on a 64-bit VISTA system. Please advise - TONYD.

Hi, thanks for quick response. I see  green tick for WIN7 64BIT, for your X5 V9 product (planned for future PC), however, for my current VISTA 64-BIT system, this link:

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-vista/Details.aspx?type=Software&p=WebSite X5 Evolution&v=Incomedia&uid=8&pf=0&pi=0&s=website X5&os=32-bit

only shows that your Version 8.0 is compatible with VISTA 32-bit, and a ? (unknown)symbol for the 64-bit tab. Can anyone please confirm if any new version of your X5 works on VISTA 64-BIT please?  Thanks, TonyD

The v9 uses Microsoft .Net 3.5 platform... we are certified for Win7 but I think that a MS application works on a MS operating system Cool

Hi,thanks for info, but your wording is not clear. Did you mean to say "any MS operating system" instead of "a MS operating system" ?? I think both VISTA and WIN7 tend to have .NET 3.5SP1 loaded/active, but what If I happen to have .NET 4 loaded as well (both can be active together I think)?? Has your product been tested in this scenario?? I saw references to unhandled exceptions during web requests. Granted the fix is a simple "aspnet_regiis.exe /iru" for that specific case, but I would want hassle-free if I was was to use your product. Thanks, TonyD.

Hi Tony, when we requested the MS certification for both version 8 and 9 there were the possibility to do that only for Win 7 and we were more interested to have the certification with the latest MS operating system.

I know that the .Net frameworks have different installations. So if you need to run a software that uses .Net 3.5 and you have .Net 4.0 installed, then it doen't work. So you have to install 3.5 as well.

What I can assure you is that in all our support history I know, there were no technical requests about issues on WinVista 64bit.

Anyway, we'll contact MS asking if the WIn7 logo is also valid for WinVista.
