2 options in cart required

Hi
Is there any way of having multiple options with sub options in a cart?
For example
A customer selects a product that has 2 colours one for each side, so he needs to select the 2 colours as options.
Option 1(side 1) with sub option RED
AND
Option 2(side 2) with sub option GREEN
I may have missed an obvious solution as I am new to the software

in step 1 shopping cart you can set suboptions in the option TAB
select main options: like front green, front blue, front red and so on.....
create in the main option setting a sub option like back green, back red
you can set the back colours then to all front colours or to only the once you want.
just try it.

Thanks for that, but this will not work due to the large combinations of choices and different costs involved.

By working with different options you can also set a different price for the main option. The solution Andre has suggested is the one which works the best, but if you would like other functionalities to be implemented, I kindly suggest you to write an "Idea" post.
