Hi;

we have multiple websites and all of them have the same problem.

When completing an order in the shop when you click the buy now button in step 3 it takes over half a minute when the next step page is show.  We have tha on all computers, browsers etc. Any ideas?

Thx

Hello Steve,

Are these websites on the same hosting provider?

It could depend on the hosting server which has less resources and this causes the delay to process the order.

Many thanks!

Hi Claudio,   its on 2 seperate servers. It's really only going from step 3 to 4. The rest, they are very responsive.  The mail with the order confirmation is received quite fast but even then the page has not changed. You can check it out on www.kippendeurtjes.nl for example. Best regards

Claudio, the user Gino has exactly the same problem we had. Our ISP the changed some time out settings and then 4th page loaded. But it must be something in the PHP as he is on a completely different server ofcorse :)

Hello Steve,

The issue of the user Gino is different than yours and I moved it to a new topic to help him better.

After the change on the timeout on your  hosting space is the page now loading faster?

Many thanks!

Hi Claudio, well, Gino's problem is the same! We got the same error but only after that they changed the time outs it stopped giving the error and the costumer gets step 4 of the ordering cycle. But still very slow. (40 sec before it reacts adn goes to next page)

Best regards

Steve

Hello Steve,

Thank you for the further informations. Did you start to experience this issue recently?

Have you changed something on the project before you started to have this issue?

Many thanks!

Hi Claudio;

The only thing we changed is sending mails thru office 365 but that was changed 2 weeks before we started having that issue. We did this because otherwise the ordercomfirmations would sometimes end up in de junk mail of the costumer.

Best regards

Steve

Hello Steve,

Do you mean you have set as email script type authenticated SMTP where you entered the smtp data for ther office 365 account is it correct?

It could probably depend in this case on the time it takes from the hosting server to connect to the office 365 smtp server to transfer the data to send the email.

Many thanks!
