Hi there,
I've just purchased Website X5 Evolution 13, and am creating a site using the template "Business 13", which is under the category of "Business (Vertical Menu)". As seen in the template, the vertical menu is housed underneath a blue and white awning graphic. Hoping someone could inform how to remove this graphic so it is just the black strip up the side as the menu?
Cheers!

You can remove items in the template section, (step2 customization) -> template structure.
You can select on the example the pictures that are used for the background and delete them on the image file section.
But I think this will not work to your advantage, the backround pictures used all work together to get the template, romoving 1 part will make the template not complete anymore. But you can give it a try.
It is better to search for a better suited template or create one of your own from scratch if you can't find something.
Just a small tip, everywhere in x5 you can press F1 this will lead you to the helpt file on the part you are at that moment. The helfile can be very handy, also there are some best practice items, don't forget to check these out as well.

Thanks for the tip Andre!
Just wondering, is it at all possible to widen the main content and menu area so there is less of the grey background area? Please let me know if you need further clarification regarding what I'm asking.
If you goto page section -> menu
then you can set width of the menu but it will walk out of the background picture fast, just check to see if it helps, else you need to adjust the background picture, this is delicate work.....
For the main conten goto step2 template -> customization then select resoltions and responsive design. then site resolution.
Read also the guides here in x5, there is a lot of usefull information there :

Thanks again Andre!
While I'm here, another quick question. Is it possible to have a border around the main page contents?
Not in template, only if you do this in the page itself use the buttun object style, (press F1 for help there)
You can copy this style then to other pages in the page menu (step4) with your left mouse.
This is do-able if you use the complete page with 1 object, with multiple objects it's also possible but that is a more work.
