Cannot change color in drop down menu item

The drop down menus that I put in both of my websites are functioning well but the problem is it will not let me change the background color in the menu as I changed it to the color from top to bottom in the scale 97,47,0 which is the same as my page background I then saved them and the preview showed success and I then up loaded them and walla the drop down menus are black font and white bacground. my sites are http://www.davidgrimm.com & http://www.daves-photography.com The changing of the drop down menu items was for aesthetic purposes. As a result I have not received any error codes. :(

On this page it seems to work correctly http://www.davidgrimm.com/ . Press F5 in your browser to clear the cash of your pc, this should show you the recent website changes.
On the other soue it does not work, chack settings again, do a full upload, then refresh browser and try again if it works.
