Shopping Cart VAT/currency suggestion - again.  en

There was an original post about changing the text VAT to GST/ on the Product Catalogue/ Cart.

The original post solved the problem - by presumably modifying the Java code - but noted that it would be a good option as a programmed solution.

For tax on goods, the program uses the term VAT, but in Australia we dont call it VAT we call it GST (Goods and Services Tax).  My suggestion is that when you set a currency (in my case AUD), wouldnt it be great for the tax name to change to what the country uses when you set your currency?. Even enter the text manually with VAT as the default.

Eg.  I set up my cart and set (AUD) so the program changes 'VAT' to 'GST'.  If I was in the US then if I set USD then it should be called Sales Tax (or what ever they call it over there).

At the moment I would have to either enter the program background and change VAT to GST (which after paying for a program I dont want to break anything by accident with a code error) or I have to not incl VAT using front of the program and then do the GST component manually as required in Australia.

Just to let you know it is still a good suggestion.

thanks
