I have several customers who complain about receiving notifications "Processed order email" !!

When a customer order a product, they will, after checkout, receive a mail with order details - FINE.

I then use my postal system to make a package label, and the customer receive a mail telling the tracking number, together with a message that the package is on the way.

To get my statistics updated, I use the admin section to tag the order as processed, and now the customers receive a useless mail who makes no sense, and who just irritates them. Then they call or emails me and ask why they get this email.

I use the admin section maybe 1-2 times in a week, and only to get my sales statistics updated!

PLEASE make these notifications optional asap !

Hello Henrik,

The program send only one email after the order has been made. Probably this depends on the hosting server which is sending more times the same email.

Try to change email script type in step 1 data management and then test if the same issue still happens.

The problems is the mails who gets generated under this section:

SETTINGS\Advanced\Shopping Cart\Sending order

These mails are send when I enter the admin section, and clicks Processed on the order.

Hello Henrik,

This is how the function is meant to keep the customer updated about their order to inform them as soon as you sent them by clicking on "processed".

In this way you don't need to send manually an email to inform them the order has been processed and sent but it can be done by the admin panel.

I know how it works, but I use another system to tell the customer his order is processed and is on it way, together with the tracking number. That is why I need to disable the mail comming from X5 !

Getting 2 mails telling basically the same is confusing, but the one with the tracking information is the most important.

Hello Henrik,

There is no option to disable it since if you click on processed this is set to send it automatically. You can or avoid to set it as processed or use only the function in WebSite X5 to send the email.

In any case I would like to suggest that you open an "Idea" Post where you describe to us the feature you would like to see implemented in the future releases of WebSite X5.

I can only hope this will be optional, so I can use the statistic without having to spam my customers :-)

My experience with "idea" postings is bad, because none of those I have posted has turned out to be anything than else than a waste of time.

I am working on a sql-script so I can get my sales numbers updated...
