WebSite X5 showed up as trojan.  en

My antivirus program deleted the program as a trojan, and from what I have seen, it's not uncommon. I need a good html program to use for my site and would like to try this to see how it is. I can't do that when it's thought to be a trojan.

How do I fix this?

Hello Olivia

In some situations Norton detects X5 as a "dangerous" software.

I used X5 for more years without problems and then suddenly it became "dangerous".

You just have to tell your antivirus that X5 is OK.

There should be a setting in your program where you can "allow" a program.

This could happen also for other programs.

Some programs are dangerous but I can tell you, that X5 is not.

Well - the first half year after they launched V13 I was tempted to call the program dangerous, but this was only because it had influence of my blood pressure. ( it had too many bugs ).

Kind regards

John S.

Be sure you have downloaded the program from the INCOMEDIA site - if you have downloaded the program from elsewhere, it could be infected. This goes for all software on the net.

If you have some "hacked" software it could be infected, or if you have got some freeware from a not-trusted site, it could also be infected.

If it comes from the INCOMEDEA / websitex5.com it is OK.

Hi Olivia,

I confirm that you can set WebSite X5 as an exception in your antivirus programs and work with our software normally.

I wish you a lovely day.
