I am developing a desktop only website: sultanaitekenov.kz . I found that when I opened my site on a smartphone - the design becomes ugly due to fonts having different sizes - so-called "font boosting" on mobile browsers.

Please help disable it.

Sultan, I have opened your site on my Nexus through both Firefox and Chrome and whilst small, it appears to be a miniature of the desktop site with no change in font sizes. What phone and browser combination are you using?

Can you provide screen shots of the issue?

For what it's worth, why aren't you developing the site as responsive? It looks perfectly suited to such treatment.

Thank you! I am using XIAOMI Redmi Note 4 and Chrome as a browser. I attached a screenshot. As you can see I have issues with font sizes.

I do not see using responsive website in website x5 as a good option (can not get the design right). I would rather develop a dedicated mobile website and redirect users to it. Though I do not have time now for a mobile site.

Is it possible to disable font boosting, maybe from expert panel on individual pages? If so what code shoud I use?

Sultan, on that page I see exactly what you see in Chrome, however, in Firefox it more closely resembles your website (see attached). Perhaps you could also look at your site through other browsers on your phone to confirm. Opera Mini makes quite a mess of your site.

It would appear that the "font boosting" you refer to is a feature of the Chrome browser (which also offers to make your site mobile friendly - but does a lousy job), so this is not something WX5 can "turn off".

I personally stand by the claim that your site would benefit from being responsive (and the task is not too onerous), but if you do wish to ultimately have only a desktop site and a mobile site (ignoring tablet users?), then in WX5 Pro 13 you have the option to create a welcome page which will automatically load either the mobile or desktop site depending on the device and this should overcome your problem.

Good luck.
