Style folder  en

Hello,

As I was advised here before, X5 does not delete files that are no longer in use, and I have to delete it myself.

I deleted all the images i don't need or use and there is no reference to them any more, from the style folder in preview folder. (such as old images i tried and decided not to work with)

After restarting the project it all comes back and appear in that folder.

Where in that case, should I delete it from?

I believe I saw that on other folders as well.

BTW what are the files in the library folders are for?

Thank you

These files  are needed and the ones are there can differ for every project.

It could that they are also there for backup purpuses. I would not make a lot of trouble for it.

You could try to export the project in step5, then import it again. and see if the imported project works better.

But if not just leave them, if you delete something too much you can get a lot of trouble. I am not sure if that is worth the space you are gaining.

It appears that Incomedia are aware of deleted images, files, etc being embedded in the project and not removeable. Hopefully they will create some sort of cleanup routine (perhaps as part of the iwzip creation process) - I've collected far too many in some of my projects (usually from deleting things the wrong way I suspect, although I am not sure what the right way is)

Thank you Andre and Esahc,

It is very frustrating though, knowing that you have to think before every step or image you upload since it's going to be there forever.

Really turn off for creativity :)

Lets all wait for Claudio's good news.

you could try  exporting project then remove files, then import again  and see if this has helped.

OK Andre , there is some progress:

I deleted all unused files. I didn't save the project. i export the project. I changed the name of the exported project file. I import the new name project.

20% of the deleting files didn't appear back (80% came back).

Thank you
