Share image for Social Media

Good day!
I would like to inquire how or what is the correct size of an image when you are sharing a page in the website you made? My website is http://fpconferenceph.org and I am using the Addthis feature provided by the program but the image is distorted/too big. Can anyone help me make it the correct size so that if I share the pages in the site it would look nice.
I attach a sample of how it looks like when you click the share button.

Hello Paolo,
You have set a too small image in step 1 - General Settings - in WebSite Image.
The image you used is:
http://fpcnferenceph.org/favImage.png
And you can use a bigger image at a normal size and not as icon.

can you provide a preferred size which I can use? Actually, the reason I changed it to small is that even I used a bigger image it has the same effect. The image is distorted.

Try to use 400px width and 300px height for the image and then test it again.

Hi Claudio I used the size you gave me. It's much cleaner but it is still too big as you can see in the attached file.

You can find more detailed informations about the sizes to use on Facebook for shared images on:
https://developers.facebook.com/docs/sharing/best-practices/?locale=en_US
They suggest 1200 x 630 pixels or 600 x 315 px but on the link you find detailed informations about it.
