Hover button gap issue  en

There is a peculiar problem with Website X5 Version 14. I brought a project that was originally created in Version 13 into the new Version 14. Everything is fine, except for 1 problem.

Please see the attached screenshot to view the comparison.

There is a Hover Button on the lower right hand side, right below a Text Object. Then there are 5 Hover Buttons just to the left of these two cells.

When the site is output in Version 13, everything is perfect. See...

However, when the site is output in Version 14, a small GAP appears between the 3rd and 4th Hover Buttons. This GAP shows up in every Windows browser, as well as in Safari on the Apple platform.

The GAP aligns precisely with the location of the Hover Button on the lower right hand side, right where it meets the overlying Text Object.

NOTE: When I upload an X5 website, I always upload to an EMPTY folder. So I can absolutely guarantee that there are no files from the Version 13 site that would be "mixing" with files from the Version 14 site.

Any ideas? This might be a BUG that Incomedia will need to address.

Myron, try changing all the fonts in the text panel, does it make it better or worse?

I have found some fonts have incorrect or missing metrics(?) causing the browsers to make guesses or use the wrong line spacing, this can affect adjoining and adjacent cells.

Hello Esahc,

OK, l’ll give this a try and let you know.

But why does everything work perfectly in X5 Version 13?

I have no idea even if the fonts are the issue, but assuming all margins are still correct, it has to be either the text or the image. If it is not the text I guess you could replace the hover button object with a simple image in a text box to rule that out as well.
