then navigate to Members -> store

Interestingly, I can resend email validation, which I receive and send back.

Land back on login page and cannot login, but go to Membership -> members area -> store and I am allowed in.

v13 website is www.marychurchconservative.com

Serg, I received an email to say a new user has registered.

I assume you received the validation email.

In admin, you are in the reseved access section with a status of "NOT VALIDATED".

In the phpmyadmin database your unusual name is recorded together with values for

In progress now. Should take about 20 minutes, because of the videos.

However yesterday I deleted the website and project and then imported the V13 project again and then uploaded.

All I changed was the database name, i.e. new database

I think you wanted me to press CTRL while selecting "preview". This takes a long time.

Deleted all files/pages from website.

Now doing a complete export.

Another 20 minute wait.

Decided to create a third new simple website from a template, one locked page -> members area

Same thing happens as above autoreg does not validate the new member when clicking on email link.

Serg, I see you tried auto registration on www.test.marychurchconservative.com and your status is "not validated".

This is a serious problem. Very frustrating

So I was playing around with V14 because I to have the same problem. The automoatic registration works BUT.... I had to start a fresh database unfortunately and transferred the information from one data base to the new one. Don't know why this is since the database tables are identical.  Hope this helps point into the right direction. Not sure how outside web hosting works, but you may have to contact your host for the transfer after the new database creation. I host from my own server so it did not take me long to transfer.

Shawn, I have already created a new database and the tables I am using are automatically created by websitex5.

i.e. no entries at start. It makes sense to create a new database because the autoreg table in V14 has a different structure to V13

I have tried all variations reinstalls, CTRL PREVIEW etc.

Automatic registration just does not work in V14.

Works perfect in V13

Frustrating as I am currently trying to write a customer/member profile section, where they can see their own data and update it. I am doing this in V13 for now.

I think I know the cause,

Set up simple website with members area uploaded to new database and table

AutoReg does not work

Same website to existing Database but new table.

AutoReg does not work

Same website to existing database and existing table

Eureka autoReg works

My host recently upgraded the servers to PHP FastCGI PHP version 7.0

Old tables work new tables do not.

Quite clearly php 7 has to be treated differently.

I believe thats why autoreg will not work on some v13 projects.

More work done on site domain with PHP 5.6

Convert V13 project to V14 project and use existing table. VALIDATES

Drop/delete existing table. V14 creates new table on registration WILL NOT VALIDATE

Weird.... I use PHP 7 on my server.....  Just a dumb question.... do you have your associated pages set as php extension?

Too many bugs on V14. This was released too early.

Now, there is trouble removing linked files.

Will keep working on V13. 

Auto Reg not working on V14 and change of auto reg to unique email address from username, will create more work later on.
