Just to be sure - the emails you send refer to 14. My license for 13 is less than 6 months old. Am I eligible for an upgrade, or do I have to pour another $100 for this?

Bruce, you are entitled to a discounted upgrade price (which expired on the 31st), if there was a free upgrade offered it would mean you made your purchase after the V14 release date was published.

Thanks. Probably just me, but with the discount it's another $100 after less than 6 months. Not sure I could think of anyone else that doesn't offer pretty much free upgrade if within a year or so, so I think I'll pass. Too many alternatives.
