Is WebSite x5 v 14 likely to cure my Website X5 v13 problems??
Author: Richard KemptonI purchased Website x5 v 13 in 2016 but have never been able to use it.
Initially I had problems even getting it to install, but eventually it did seem to install OK, but I then found that when I tried to run it, Windows shut it down as a result of an 'unknown error'. Someone suggested that it might be because I had somehow unknowingly downloaded and installed a LavaSoft app on my system - which I haven't, so that is not the cause of the problem
I tried reinstalling Website X5 v 13 just now and am still having the same problem (Windows shutting it down - same 'unknown error). I am tempted to upgrade to Website x5 v 14, but am concerned that this will result in a further waste of money for an application that I cannot use because it will not run on my desktop under Windows 10.
Can anyone confirm that Website X5 v14 will DEFINITELY install & run under Windows 10 Pro x64 and whether I can get a refund of the purchase price if it doesn't? My website is in dire need of updating and if I cannot get Website X5 v 14 to work, I will need to find another website design solution that does, whicxh I am reluctant to do, because I like the simplicity of Website x5.
First of all you can always ask for a refund within 30 days.

You could also try the demo of v14 as well prior to buying the normal version and see hoow that one runs: https://www.websitex5.com/en/demo-evolution.html
And yes I have win10 x64 and it runs smoothly but so did v13.
Maybe there is an error in the .net framework files, you could also try to fix taht, there are a few posts about a reinstall of the .net framework files.

I hope this helps you on your way. I am using x5 sinds about version5 and also once needed to repair the .net framework files. But from version 8 on I have still installed them all and they keep working as they should (no hangups or closing down)
Goodluck, best Regards,
