Hello Mario

You could create a blog, and here check the RSS feed option.

This will do that you can post your information ( on your blog ) , and people that subscribes, will via the RSS see the latest news ( if they set it up )

Kind regards

Another way is to use the LuxCal calendar for this.

The calendar has a display that can be set up so it automatically shifts to the latest news. The calendar displays is ver efficient for mobile devices. You can see some examples here : http://www.calendarforum.dk/examples.html

The calendar ALSO has the RSS facility.

Hi John,

thanks for the reply. websites allow you to subscribe for a newsletter.

you enter your email address and confirm. you can also unsubscribe.

I suppose that is what you explained in your first reply.

Or is there another way to do so ?

best regards,

Mario

Hello Mario

No - what I described is using the RSS feed. This is something that you set up for your browser - then - when new items appear on a site, then you will see a mark in the corner of the browser, and then you can go to the news site.

You see an example in Chrome here :

You can in the LuxCal send mails to users on a list, but users cannot themselve subscribe or unsubscribe.

In near future the LuxCal calendar will also be able to send SMS to users. You can create an event=news and then let the system automatic send mails to users on the list for this type of event, immediately and/or xx days before the event.

But this is not exactly what your question was about.

I am sure there are some systems to be found on the web ( I know some, but they are not cheap ) , that is capable of what you want, but maybe these are not free as the LuxCal or using the RSS in Luccal or in X5.

Maybe someone knows a system for news mails, where users can subscribe and unsubscribe.

Kind regards

John S.

You couæld use Mailchimp as a standalone or "integrate" it via iframes - and you could eventually make a form in X5 that is "integrated" with Mailchimp via  : https://zapier.com/app/editor/template/107

BUT - you have to consider - what is your need.

LuxCal will be really fine if you want news and to mail this news via a mailing list. If you want user can himself subscribe / unsubscribe then you have to go further.

Kind regards

OK, still a lot to learn )). I'm working on a project so the idea was to start with a basic site, explaining the project so far

and for those interested a possible sing up to be kept informed of the project.

best regards,

If you are hosted at one.com there is a simple way.

You can then use their blog. The blog can be set up so only you can post messages. And it can be set up so users can comment a post. It can also be set up so users can subscribe to mails when new posts are posted by you AND users can themselve log on and remove the subscription.

Only thing is, that users cannot put themselve in the system.

You could make a form where you have users to give their mailaddress and then you create the user in the one.com blog.

This is a rather simple way - but some manual work for you when new users will subscribe.

The automatic way is to use a program like MailChimp.

Or consider the RSS feed.

Let us know what solution you find.

Kind regards

John S.
