Cant import my project.iwprj2 file

I changed from windows 7 to windows 10. My project.iwprj2 file is on my old harddrive also on my computer.
I have now for the past week tried everything as I got some help here but nothing works. I have unfortunately not alot of computer skills. One of the main reasons I bought website x5 to build my own website.
I also read somewhere it might be because this is a read only file.... whatever that means
Can anyone please help me urgently.

Have you tried to right click on file, select open with, then select Incomedia Website X5 (the version you used to create the project)
Michael, is the project in the same place it always was (eg c:\users\yourname\documents\incomedia\project_name), secondly, was this project created by V9 or V14.
If it was created by V9 and you no longer have that program you can download an installable copy in Downloads under your profile (top right), once you have opened your project in V9 you can export the project and create an iwzip file, this iwzip file can then be imported into V14.
So if you want further assistance, please let us know if what you want to retrieve was created in V14, and is the old project in the proper place or a second hard drive?
