Responsive: page content disappears in 480px  en

Hi

I am converting my website to responsive using X5 Ver 14. I fin that when reviewing at the different sizes all is well with the content adjusting as I move down from 1024px until I get to less that 480px. Then most of the pages lose their contents.

Please explain how to avoid this. Is it related to size of images? or something else?

Thanks

Frank

Frank, I found this to be a fairly frequent occurance when importing to V13, perhaps the issue has crept in to V14. If so, go to step 4 pages, responsive (top right above page layout), and then check that the cells haven't been hidden at the lowest resolutions. You may need to unhide cells on all pages at mobile resolution.

You may also need to visit step2 template, template structure and check various resolutions if you have lost background images, etc.

Hi

Thanks Esahc, but this did not seem to help.

I find that woth Left Side Bar menu, whenever the width is reduced to 480px - i.e. as mobile phone, all the content disappears.

Also the reduced Menu can be very confusing, especially with drop-downs. Is there a way to introduce different colours to these small drop-downs.

Help on both points appreciated, but the first is most important as readers on mobile phone can see nothing apart from Header and Footer.

Thanks

Frank

Frank, in step2 Template, Template structure, you can turn the sidebar on or off at various resolutions, so I would set the template for mobile as header and footer (no sidebar)

For the mobile resolution in template content I would add a menu object to the header (keep the object box small and it will appear as a toaster menu)

If I have misunderstood the problem, can you put your site online (perhaps in a temp folder) so we can look?

Frank - are you sure you visited responsive settings? For every page?

If you click on mobile (<480) you should see the cells that make up the page.

Hi

Ah!! I would like to say it was a deliberate mistake ;-)) However, I see that I still have much to learn.

Hopefully, I can now take this forward.

Many thanks

Frank
