Saving the project path during programm update.

Every time an update comes along I have to set the project path to my project new. This might be that my project is not in the standard folder. Could it be possible to save the preferences during an update?

I just tested it and after the update it remained the set project path.
What did you set in the preferences as project path?
Was it a folder on the HD or an external device?
