Regarding www.efknabstrupvej.dk

Where can I  adjust how much background I can see above and below the horizontal head menu?

I have searched in the tutorials. However, I didn't find the solution.

What search keyword should I have used to find the solution?

Hello Erik

The menu is now an object and this object will have the size you give it. You can set the height of the header, and you can set in the menu in 2 : Skabelon - header.

Like this :

I have a transparent background here - it is the headetr that gives the background.

If you make the menu "sticky" you also have to "design" the sticky menu.

Remember also the tab : Indhold :

Hope this helped you. You can see my test-site for the menu shown here : http://www.bramminginfo.dk/brm02/

Kind regrads

Just took a look at your site - you could put the image in the header or make the header green and make the text as objects, and put the menu where you have your web-address ( people know the web address when they see the menu )

I guess the menu looks like it does, because you have converted it from an earlier version. Then V 14 tries to convert the menu - not always with a good result.

Kind regards

In ProV12 the menu wasn't a part of the header.

Please watch https://clarasvaenge.dk On this site you can see, that the menu isn't a part of the header.

The 2 websites has been build with the same look. You can see the background colour above and below the menu.

In ProV12 https://efknabstrupvej.dk had exactly the same look. I can't accept the solution in V14.

I want the menu separated from the header image as it was before the upgrade to ProV14.

Hello Erik - I will take it in Danish.

Du vælger : 2- Skabelon

Herefter:  top og bund indhold.

Herefter : Header

Venlig hilsen

John S.

Du kan se eksemplet her : http://www.bramminginfo.dk/brm03

MEN... John, du må have overset det konkrete problem.

Tak for din store hjælp.

Hello Erik,

if you want your horizontal menu to be shown underneath the header, without it being part of the header, you should place an Object Menu directly on the page. Please remember that you need to copy and paste the Object to maintain the settings on each page.

Please let me know if I can help you further. Kind regards.

Before I converted my 6 sites from Pro 12 to Pro 14 the horizontal menu WAS NOT a part of the header. You could see the background colour above and below. Why do I have problems in Pro 14?

In Pro 12 I only had to make the horizontal once. Why all these problems in Pro 14?

It seems to be much more troublesome to come back to the Pro 12 issue of the menu.

I do not understand how to correct my problem i Pro 14. I thnik it's wrong, that a new version can make these problems.

Hi Erik,

I understand your point, but since the management of the menu has changed in this version, there might be some little differences. I can assure you that the solution if very simple: you simply need to copy the setting for the existing menu Object, and paste it on your pages.

Thanks! I wish you a lovely day.

Today I could see, that the horizontal menu has been separated from the header on some of my websites: v14.clarasvaenge.dk, admny.clarasvaenge.dk. revisor.clarasvaenge.dk and bestyrelsen.clarasvaenge.dk. However, NOT efknabstrupvej.dk. And I have done NOTHING to get this change.

efknabstrupvej.dk - with exactly the same settings from Pro12 to Pro 14 as v14.clarasvaenge.dk - hasn't the horizontal menu separated from the header.

When doing nothing, it's difficult to understand this difference.

I understand, that I in future websites with v14... have to place an Object Menu directly on the page. In 4. Pages, I think. Can you show me how. I have tried to find how to do it. And whre in the tutoriaks can I read about this?

Erik

To place an existing menu on the page, right click on the current menu object, copy, go to step 4 and in a row of cells, paste.

If you wish to start a new menu rather than copy one, create an empty row of cells, select the menu object from the page content available. If you cannot see the menu object, select all categories.
